The concept of smart mining comes from the idea of integration, and by integration we mean processes, people and technology working together to maximize the value of the business.
Our Las Bambas team identified the essential pillars to reach this objective and came up with 9 different projects aligned to the 9 milestones of the Smart Mine Program.
These projects must be aligned to our strategy otherwise they will not add any value to the business. In this regard, we stay focused on the objective and avoid adopting new technologies simply because they are advanced.
