The Las Bambas site is located in the Challhuahuacho, Tambobamba and Coyllurqui districts (Cotabambas province), and the Progreso district (Grau province) in the Apurimac Region. The site is approximately 75 km southwest of the Cusco city and its altitude varies between 3,800 and 4,600 meters above sea level.
Currently, our site holds 5.5 M tons of copper reserves and 9 M tons of copper resources.
By 2023, we aim to produce 235,000 to 305,000 tons of copper, surpassing the 2022 numbers. Based on this information, we estimate an eighteen-year mine life, with ongoing exploration projects that may extend both the timeframe and benefits for the region and the country.
