OBJECTIVE

Improve health care services of the Challhuahuacho Health Care Centre.

DESCRIPTION

At first, the Challhuahuacho Health Care Centre provided basic services only. Population increase and diseases caused by weather conditions made these insufficient. Together with local authorities and representatives of the centre and the Regional Bureau of Health (DIRESA), Las Bambas built an inpatient ward, improving health care services.

The centre has the following departments: Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Neonatology, Nurses’ Station, Emergency & Observation, Waiting Room, and Equipment. The centre also has various pieces of equipment such as incubators, care beds and stretchers. Once we completed the inpatient ward, we delivered and transferred it to the Ministry of Health (MINSA).
