Enhance farmers’ skills to manage natural resources and ensure their sustainability, through new technologies, sound management practices, organisation and cultural identity. We sought to improve agricultural and livestock production, train farming families in organisational and management skills and increase their income by starting rural businesses.
We organised the Pachamama Raymi contests to promote healthy competition among families, sectors and communities, and conducted training workshops under the “farmer to farmer” method. One year after carrying it out, this project has generated assets valued at nearly five times the invested amount (approximately S/. 9 million). These assets include small irrigation systems, organic gardens, latrines, ecological showers, artisanal reservoirs, small water collection systems, community parks and rural roads built by community residents. Currently, the Las Bambas Social Fund continues cofinancing the project.
