Geographic Location
The Las Bambas Mining Project was Xstrata’s first project in Peru and is very important in the international arena. The project is located 72 kilometres from Cusco, between the Cotabambas and Grau provinces in Apurímac at an elevation of more than 4,000 metres above sea level.
