Las Bambas Bulletin - June 2010

Every year, we renew our commitment to work for the sustainable
development of the communities in the area of influence of
our Las Bambas Mining Project, and this year has been no
exception. We continue to focus our efforts on improving our
performance in various areas, particularly in those that
compromise the health and safety of our employees, community
relations and the environment. We have made significant
progress in our community relations and in our environmental
impact and feasibility studies because we have a first-class team
that ensures the success of the project, and in turn are
acknowledged by the communities. We have also taken
important steps with the Fuerabamba community to ensure its
development.

We started 2010 with many challenges, as well as achievements,
such as the resettlement agreement with the Fuerabamba
community. A major challenge will be, just like last year, to maintain
and improve our performance levels in various areas, especially in
those that compromise our employees' safety and health,
community relations and the environment, and to direct our efforts
for cost optimisation. This will be done in harmony with community
sustainable development, which is part of our business policy.
